Source: Nokia - Posted May 12th, 2005 9:46 AM EDT

Nokia today announced Atari Masterpieces Volumes 1 & 2 for the N-Gage platform. Atari Masterpieces Volume 1 brings eight Atari arcade games for the N-Gage including such classics as Asteroids, Battlezone, Black Widow, Millipede, Missile Command, Red Baron, Lunar Lander and Super Breakout. Atari Masterpieces Volume 1 for the N-Gage is expected to be available worldwide in September 2005 and Volume 2 in December 2005.

"Everyone loves the classic arcade games from Atari," said Gregg Sauter, Director, Games Publishing, Nokia. "All your favorites like Missile Command and Super Breakout will be on the N-Gage platform. We are offering gamers, both young and old, the opportunity to take the arcade with them wherever they go."

Presented with the same, cool, retro-looking graphics, the eight titles in the first compilation have been reproduced with every trick and tip from the originals. Atari Masterpieces Volume 1 also includes four unlockable Atari 2600 titles. Gamers can also upload their high-scores on N-Gage Arena and find out who is at the top of the charts.

"The Atari Masterpieces Volume 1 invokes the gamer in all of us," said Wim Stocks, EVP of Sales and Marketing for Atari, Inc. "We are delighted to work with Nokia and bring these classic games to the N-Gage platform. "

Demo of Atari Masterpieces Volume 1 will be shown to selected media during E3 in the Nokia booth #1524, South Hall, Los Angeles Convention Center.
